KNITWEAR CREATION LAB
A 5-day immersive Maison Tricot course in knitwear creation
A 5-day immersive Maison Tricot course in knitwear creation, designed to explore yarns, textures, techniques and garment development through a hands-on, studio-based approach.
During this week, you will step inside the Maison Tricot studio and discover how knitwear moves from material research to creative sampling, from textile experimentation to your own knitted garment or piece.
Working with Brother domestic knitting machines and Dubied manual flatbed knitting machines, participants experience knitwear as a direct and tactile design process, from yarn and texture to garment and finish.
The week combines essential theory, playful experimentation, personal guidance, shared lunches, hands-on machine knitting, a factory visit to Cousy, a visit to MoMu Antwerp, and a final finishing and presentation moment.

Continue Your Knitwear Journey
For participants who want to continue after the course, Maison Tricot offers guidance on the next steps.
We can advise you on sourcing your own knitting machine and connect you with relevant contacts where possible. This allows you to keep practising and developing your skills after the Summer School.
We also offer follow-up sessions for participants who want to deepen their knowledge, improve their technique and continue building confidence in knitwear creation.
Knitwear is a process. This course gives you a strong foundation and the possibility to keep growing from there.
Studio & Field Experience
The course takes place inside the Maison Tricot studio in Brasschaat, near Antwerp.
Alongside the studio sessions, we include inspiring visits that connect your own making process to the broader textile and fashion context.
